Every year the Friends
of the Library holds
or participates in a number of events designed to raise
funds, provide support to the library staff and promote
literacy. Below is an example of just some of the events

book sales
yard & bake sale held every May
Christmas craft & bake sale each November
host an annual "Friends' Luncheon" to acknowledge
our volunteers
decorate the library for all major holidays
decorate the front windows with paintings for each
season change
provide flower arrangements for special occasions
help to purchase necessary equipment to improve facilities & service
assist library staff in processing books and materials
aid library staff in conducting surveys
assist with all special events & seminars
provides hamper to collect donations for the local
Food Bank
keep "In Memoriam" book updated
help support adult & elementary school reading
programs
