About Us

The Friends of the Englehart Public Library was established by the Board of the Englehart Public Library. The Friends are a group of volunteers, lead by a board member, that carry out fundraising activities to help the library meet it's goals; which are to enhance the collection, improve facilities and provide educational information and guidance to the community.

The first meeting of the Friends of the Englehart Public Library was held at the new library on January 30, 1995 with a board member serving as the chair. The current chair for 2005 is board member Diane Drew.

This committee is open to all who would be interested in joining. For further information, please phone Englehart Public Library at 705-544-2100, send an e-mail at swilliam@englehartpubliclibrary.ca , or visit the library during open hours. For more information about the library please click here.

Past Events

"Reminiscences and Reflections" was an absolute sucess at the Englehart Public Library. With over 200 people in attendance, it was one of the biggest events ever for the "Friends Group" and the Englehart Public Library itself!

The "Friends Group" would like to thank the people of Englehart and surrounding area for their support, with special thanks to all who volunteered their time and helped in other ways with this event.
