Holiday Magic
Another successful event, here at the Englehart Public Library! On December 2nd, the library was host to an amazing playshop for kids 2-6 years, learning the about the biggest event of the year, Christmas! There was a free pizza dinner provided by Englehart Pizza & Restaurant along with stories, games and crafts. The evening was hosted by Brigitte Auger: Early Literacy Specialist, staff member of the Timiskaming Cochrane Early Years Centre.
We're all looking forward to the spring pizza party! Hope you come out and join!
Reminiscences & Reflections
The Friends of the Englehart Public Library's afternoon of celebrating the town of Englehart's 100th year anniversary was a resounding success!
After going through much effort to bring together local authors and historians, over TWO HUNDRED people came to take part in the celebration and delve into the
history of Englehart!
The fun-filled afternoon took place here at the Library on July 30th, 2008 and ran from 12 pm to 6 pm. Cake, punch and other treats were served to all add up to a great time had by all!
AbraKIDabra!
The great, "Peter Mennie a.k.a.: That Magic Guy", Show went off without a hitch here at the Englehart Public Library on Tuesday, July 15 2008.
The, "fun-filled, hysterically funny, family friendly, festival of foolin'", began at 2:00 pm and ran until 3:00. It was open to all ages and free of charge.
We had an exceptional turn out and those who came enjoyed themselves greatly!
Musical Pups
A fun, active and imaginative way for young children to be introduced to music and rhythm!

Scrap Booking
The Library is hosting scrap booking meetings once a month! Check at the library for the next meeting's date.
Reading Programs at Schools
Englehart Public Library is now sponsoring the Silver Birch and Blue Spruce reading programs in schools.
Stories & Fun with Nikki
Wednesday Mornings 10:00am to 11:30am

Come join the Evergreen Awards Reading Program for Adults!
Starting March 2008 until October 2008
Members read from a pre-selection of 10 books by Canadian Authors. The books must be works of living Canadian authors. They can be fiction, non-fiction, biography, memoir, history, travel book or graphic novel.
Members are invited to come to scheduled book club meetings to discuss the books they have read.
Members vote for their favourite book during Ontario Library Week in October, 2008
Winner will be announced in November, 2008.
The Evergreen Award will be presented to the winning Author at the Super Conference in Toronto January 2009.

Story time
The children and adults alike have a great time. Watching the children listen as the stories are read is an unbelievable site. Duration through Spring and Fall. Call Library for information. Storytime has started up again on Wednesdays from 10 am - 11:30 am.
This Program is free for seniors every Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30, so come and participate! It's a great way to learn computers in a fun environment.
